The 2.7 series of KeePassXC represents the current stable series, and is recommended for all new deployments.

The 2.6 series of KeePassXC represented the stable releases of the project beginning July 6, 2020 with the release of version 2.6.0 and concluding March 22, 2022 when version 2.6.6 was superseded by version 2.7.0.

The 2.5 series of KeePassXC represented the stable releases of the project beginning October 26, 2019 with the release of version 2.5.0 and concluding July 6, 2020 when version 2.5.4 was superseded by version 2.6.0, beginning the 2.6 series.

The 2.4 series of KeePassXC represented the stable releases of the project beginning March 19, 2019 with the release of version 2.4.0 and concluding October 26, 2019 when version 2.4.3 was superseded by version 2.5.0, beginning the 2.5 series.

The 2.3 series of KeePassXC represented the stable releases of the project beginning February 27, 2018 with the release of version 2.3.0 and concluding March 19, 2019 when version 2.3.4 was superseded by version 2.4.0, beginning the 2.4 series.

The 2.2 series of KeePassXC represented the stable releases of the project beginning June 25, 2017 with the release of version 2.2.0 and concluding February 27, 2018 when version 2.2.4 was superseded by version 2.3.0, beginning the 2.3 series.

The "develop" series represents the undifferentiated project source code in aggregate, from which major feature branches are created. This is sometimes also called MAIN or HEAD.
