Running in a Java Platform servlet container like Apache Tomcat, the Klinike web user interface is built with Vaadin toolkit, which itself is made with Google Web Toolkit (GWT). Therefore, the user can access the application from any browser supported by GWT, like Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera and even MSIE. The data can be stored in any relational database supported by Hibernate.
