This project is to build a bootable linux image for use by the Manila generic driver. The goal of the project is to create an image that's as small/efficient as possible while maintaining the functionality the generic driver needs, which is: SSH, NFSv3, NFSv4, CephFS and Samba support.
Manila is an OpenStack community project to orchestrate shared file system storage for use with virtual machines, containers and bare metals.
OpenStack Manila provides management of shared, clustered and distributed file systems. It serves shared file systems over several Network Attached Storage (NAS) protocols such as Network File System (NFS), Common Internet File System (CIFS/NTFS), Ceph File System (CephFS), MapR File System (MapRFS), Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Gluster File System (GlusterFS), etc.
