Nuvola 4.4 Supports AppIndicators in Unity, elementaryOS and GNOME; Changes Versioning Scheme

Nuvola 4.4 is the fourth milestone of the current rolling series on the way towards the Nuvola 5.0 release (formerly referred to as Nuvola 4.0 or 3.2). The headline of this release is AppIndicator backend for Tray icon feature, which works not only in Unity and elementaryOS but also in GNOME.
In order to update your flatpak builds, use GNOME Software with flatpak plugin or run "flatpak update --system && flatpak update --user" in terminal (without sudo).

Nuvola Drops Support for Old Distributions

Nuvola 3.0 used to support a wide range of old distributions. However, this situation has become unbearable as the WebKitGTK+ library included in these distributions is full of bugs, which may make web apps work incorrectly, and contains hundreds of security vulnerabilities. In addition, several of these distributions have already reached their end of life. If you are affected, I recommend upgrading.

Hot-fix for Google Play Music Sign-in Issue

Users of Google Play Music script cannot sign in to their Google account since the new sign-in page was introduced. Luckily, the issue was quickly resolved upstream (WebKitGTK+ 2.14.7 and 2.16.2) as well as in Nuvola itself (Nuvola 3.1.3+37.g4cbe48b).

Nuvola 3.1 Milestone 3 Released, Supports elementaryOS

Nuvola 3.1 Milestone 3 (3.1.3 for short) is the third milestone on the way towards the Nuvola 4.0 release (formerly referred to as Nuvola 3.2). There have been 54 commits since Nuvola 3.1.2, 25 code changes since Diorite 0.3.2 and 11 changes since Nuvola SDK 1.3.0. The headline of this release is elementaryOS as a new supported distribution.
