This project aims to provide a core library and a command line interface to implement the bookkeeping functions needed for small and medium sized businesses and for not-for-profit organizations. This project will not provide a graphical interface, but the core library will provide the accounting functionality that another project could use for this purpose.

Contributions of code implementing features or writing documentation would be welcome. A contributions that would be particulary welcome, though, is someone with an accounting background to review the feature specifications as they are drafted.
