PackageKit

This project targets the integration of PackageKit in Debian and Ubuntu.

PackageKit wants to make simple package manipulation tasks (installing, removing or updating software) easier and smoother on all or most distributions. Therefor it provides a distribution neutral D-Bus interface. The system integration is done by calling the native package manager in the corresponding backend.
