The two main uses cases in which the tool is useful are:

    * Local installation of binary packages for verification
    * Source package upload to launchpad (multiple distros and ppas)

Aside from this, a couple of useful features are:
    * template files can be used to generate contents at package build time. Values such as date, target distro and bazaar revision number are available when the template expressions are substituted.
    * sed script expressions can be used to generate a customized changelog version. This is useful to upload temporary package versions that include the target distribution and the bazaar revision number.
