Gui nearing completion

Aside from a few tweaks here and there, the GUI part appears to be complete. What lies ahead is merely the backend functionality. There are still quite a few hurdles to overcome, namely the system level commands.

Moving to C++

To avoid long-term headaches dealing with the QT GUI, I figure I might as well bite the bullet and learn C++. Considering that I have other projects that will require me to learn this, it is appropriate that I do.
Code development is therefore stalled as I try to emulate what I have already written.
