A predictive ship collision alert system based on GPS and AIS data.
On long voyages, skippers need to sleep. They need to be awake when threats to the ship's hull emerge. This system attempts to merge data from a GPS and radio messages in AIS format from nearby vessels to identify potential collision events. If one is found, the system issues an alert asking for wet-wear to handle the threat.
