Simple Plings In

Plings are 'Places to go, things to do' i.e. events and activities.

This is a tool to create your event or activity so that the data can be made available via XML to others.

https://launchpad.net/webplings is a project to visualise such data.

Both of these applications are part of the Plings project (http://www.plings.net) led by Substance (http://www.substance.coop), but have uses beyond the scope of the project itself

Built in Ruby on Rails 1.8.6, (and now ported to Rails2) the application can accept many users who can enter their plings and then generate an XML Feed of their data. The XML comes in the format described at: http://feeds.plings.net/xml.activity.dtd

The application can be adapted to fit your own schema if required.
