TextTest is a tool for text-based functional testing. This means running a batch-mode executable from the command line in lots of different ways, and using the text output produced as a means of controlling the behaviour of that application.
TextTest is a mature and feature-rich tool that has existed on SourceForge since 2003. The mailing list at sourceforge is the main forum for questions and general support at the moment. I've now opened the Launchpad bugtracker here so that anyone can report bugs: though be aware that most TextTest bugs are handled in a closed bugtracker at Jeppesen. (If you are a Jeppesen employee you should use that and not report bugs here.) If you wish to get involved in development you're encouraged to download the selftests, and add your own if you add any new features.
