I updated to kernel 2.6.22-6.13 and I still have no sound. I didn't have any sound on the previous 2.6.22 release either. But if I reboot on my kernel 2.6.20 my sound gets back.

I'm using up to date gutsy.

My soundcard is also and intel with a realtek chipset, very common.
