Thank you for reporting a problem in Ubuntu, to make it better.
Launching ubiquity from the terminal or with alt-f2 you can do:
$ ubiquity --no-webcam
For us to fix this problem though, cause you please run ubiquity like so:
$ ubiquity --debug
Re-create the crash on the webcam page, and then submit a bug report with /var/log/syslog & /var/log/installer/debug with:
$ ubuntu-bug ubiquity
Alternatively those files may have been preserved (if you didn't reboot livecd after the last crash & successful installation), in that case attaching files under /var/log/installer/* might me sufficient to fix this problem.
