Dion, the bug you describe is entirely different from the one tracked here. This bug is about ubiquity crashing in configure_hardware due to a previous error in migration-assistant. If you're still experiencing your bug in the latest daily-live CDs (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live), please file a separate bug.
