Andrew Oakley is a senior computer consultant who uses LAMP and other free software to develop corporate systems. He lives in rural Gloucestershire, UK with his wife and young daughter.

At home, he has a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop with Intel X3100 graphics card running Ubuntu Hardy LTS, and a home-built server with an Nvidia Geforce2MX graphics card running Ubuntu Dapper LTS. At work, a large well-known British domain name registrar and hosting provider, he has a Dell Optiplex 745 with an Intel i945 graphics card running Ubuntu Gutsy.

Andrew is skilled in writing technical documentation including use cases, requirements, project plans and end-user manuals. He is currently teaching himself DocBook XML so he can join the Ubuntu Documentation Team. Andrew can also program in Perl, PHP and Bash script. He is also an active member of the Gloucestershire Linux User Group.
