Just someone being annoyed by the lack of prebuilt SCST in Linux and the not so brilliant quality of the default iSCSI/iSER bits in large setups. And no, a distro with a stone age kernel doesn't count...
What you'll get:
-A Linux kernel with all necessary patches to use SCST. If you don't know what it is you propably will not care at all. These patches are pulled from a recent SCST-branch (188.8.131.52) at https://scst.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/scst/branches/2.0.0.x/
-SCST-Admin from https://scst.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/scst/branches/2.0.0.x/
-These targets are available: iSCSI (untested), SRP
What you won't get:
The "fun" of reading an overwhelming amount of documents related to Infiniband, iSCSI, iSER, SCST and even more documents leading nowhere.
