Current Ubuntu project(s):

 - second-class citizen installation shakedown. I have no broadband connection, but an internal modem (hardware, not software). During my initial installation attempt I noticed several things that were not-quite-right, so I will re-install with a notepad beside me and break it down.

 - after using Redhat/Fedora for several years full time, I consider myself a competent linux user, however there were a few niggles that I have with Ubuntu, so I will document those and my work-arounds.
