Nope I am not a developer, yet after several years of using several distros I have decided to stay aboard Ubuntu and Debian as a desktop user, reporting bugs, learning as much as I can (there is always something to learn) and attempting to do everything as a new user with the UI instead of using terminal (well as much as possible since terminal is actually very usefull and faster than UI for some tasks, specially upgrades).
While my baby daugther sleeps (I am a stay home dad) I work on restoring computers, installing Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu or Debian and then recycling the computer so someone will get exposed to linux/gnu desktop, often spending time with the person teaching them the how to's of their new computer environment.
