রিং (ring), full name Shazedur Rahim Joardar, is an Honours Graduate in English Literature as well as have a Professional Diploma in IT from NIIT in Software Engineering. I am an enthusiasts of GNU/Linux and Computing in my mother langugahe, Bengali .

From 2010 to 2016 I had worked with Jalal Ahmed Spinning Mills Ltd. as the IT and MIS Consultant. The Jalal Ahmed Group is using only Free softwares in their IT & MIS departments as the GNU/Linux based (Ubuntu Server & Linux Mint Desktop) solutions under my consultancy. Some of my factory hardwares like cone, cross roll machineries are also running on GNU/Linux.

From Fall 2014 (October) to Fall 2016 I had worked as an Adjunct Faculty member of Daffodil International University here in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Where I was teaching on Operating Systems and PL/SQL. More on that I had conducted hardware and software hacking sessions and events regularly for the pupils.

I am a core member of Linux Mint Bangladesh (http://linuxmint-bd.org/about_us) team.

Still I am working hard to spread out GNU/Linux, Software Freedom and Computing knowledge in our mother language (Bangla/Bengali) to the entry level people of computing in Bangladesh. I personally sponsors to organize distor release parties, get togethers, seminars, barcamps and various types of technical and non-technical sessions on GNU, Linux Kernel, Ubuntu and Linux Mint through a voluntary organization named Foundation for Open Source Solutions Bangladesh (in short FOSS Bangladesh).
