I'm a physicist and electronic engineer, based at the University of Leeds, UK. I am currently working on a set of free simulation tools (lp:qwwad) to accompany my forthcoming textbook: "Quantum Wells, Wires and Dots" (4th Ed.), P. Harrison and A. Valavanis, Wiley, Chichester (expected 2015).

I'm also a contributor to the Inkscape project, and occasionally do a bit of work on Ubuntu packaging.

Adopt functionality from the QCLsim project for Quantum wells, wires and dots
We need to adopt (i.e., take over maintenance) of some infrastructure components of the Leeds QCLsim project and modify our legacy code to use it. Note that this does not include the device simulation scripts from QCLsim, which will remain private IP of Leeds.
Distribution of examples scripts for Quantum wells, wires and dots
All the scripts in the "examples" folder should be distributed in packages. We should check that they appear to do what we expect, and that they don't spam the user's workspace with tonnes of data files since these are supposed to be simple examples with a clean output. We should also create a nice index of script...
