That's interesting. I can't seem to reproduce this with current Webkit and the latest slideshow. I wonder if it's Webkit on arm?

There are a few details that might be helpful to narrow this down, if you have a moment:
 - Did it still progress through slides? (It should take around 50 seconds for each one). Is it possible that clicking a button caused it to stop progressing?
 - What happens if you click a hyperlink, for example the link to ubuntu.com/support in the last slide? Does it also do nothing, or does the link open in a web browser?
 - Were you installing in a language other than English, or did you change the language later? Was the slideshow being translated correctly? (de_DE should appear translated, with a few exceptions).
 - Just to confirm, is this the Ubuntu slideshow, or a different flavour?

Thank you for your bug report :)

With 20120905.2 I actually see this working just fine, but I suspect it's being affected by bug #1045491 giving the impression that it doesn't work. If I hover the mouse over one of the arrow controls on the slideshow long enough, it will quit giving me the blinking busy icon and give me a pointer instead. When it does that, I can click the arrows and move through the slideshow just fine. (it sometimes takes a while before you get that, and sometimes I also have luck by just hovering over it and clicking a lot)

I've noticed that while it doesn't appear to work - perhaps it is just working really slowly on http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20120905.2/quantal-desktop-armhf+omap4.img as I just tried - 3 or 4 times - eventually it did just that - went backwards all in one go.
