Bug Description

I am looking into an update to 1.58. The main new feature is encrypted uploads but I don't know if the Ubuntu server can handle it. I have the update done but need to investigate that more.

Update: I spoke to Michael Hall who maintains the UBuntu server. It does not support GPG and has no plans to do so. Therefore this update is on hold for the time being.

Would it make sense to rebase/merge anyway but discard those changes and document in the changelog why?

I think we'd possibly need some server-side changes to support the new fields that it reports too, I'll ask mhall119 when I get a chance.
