Bug Description

Binary package hint: sbackup

When restoring a file, a small dialog appears that stays open until the restore is complete, but it is completely empty, that is, it contains no text, no images or buttons, and has no title.

Thank you for reporting this bug. I think there is just something broken or missing. If someone can confirm this, the bug can be confirmed too.
I'm upgrading to Gutsy tribe 5 amd64 at the moment, I'm trying to reproduce this too when it's done. What's your architecture?

Sorry for the long time between my responses, but I completely forgot this bug. I'm very sorry.
At my computer the empty window is indeed empty. But the other window also looses content and seems to be frozen. It looks like the bug is confirmed, the freeze happens more often here and the problem you were talking about also happens.

I forgot to mention that the restore did work.

I didn't have time to add it to sbackup, but now I have. Simple Backup devs, have fun with it :)

Hi,

I think that in fact , there is no problem .Just a lack of knowledge on GTK API on our side :-( .

The popu you see should in fact contain the "Restoring ..." text and be there to show that there are some processing . It should have been threaded but it's not that why the UI freezes when restoring.
But the bug is still valid and need to be addressed.

For NSsbackup 0.2 was a fix released. Please note, that this issue is very unlikely fixed in sbackup. Check out NSsbackup instead.

Thank you. When may we hope to see nssbackup merged into sbackup?

You can use it as usual software and help making it better. There is no schedule. Have a look at the FAQs: https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/nssbackup/+faqs. And just give it a try.
