Bug Description

Binary package hint: epiphany-extensions

The epiphany package build currently produces "epiphany-extensions-e_e_version_major.e_e_version_minor.pot". This looks like wrong quoting.

This breaks translations in language packs.

Rosetta gurus, can the domain be fixed in Rosetta in the database? I'd like to avoid doing a stable upload of epiphany-extensions just to change the name of the .pot.

If it's possible, then please fix it for hardy (to "epiphany-extensions-2.22"). I'll fix the intrepid package in any case.

Done. Could you confirm that it's the way you want it now?

Any way for me to find out the current domain in hardy? I requested a PO template export ten minutes ago, still waiting. I can also check next week's delta hardy export.

The exports are not instantaneous; they are processed asynchronously and of course there may also be other requests ahead of it in the queue.

I got the export yesterday, and it looks fine to me. Many thanks!

There is a small issue left here:

ii language-pack-gnome-hu 1:8.04+20080805 GNOME translation updates for language Hungarian
gabor@shaihulud:~$ dpkg -L language-pack-gnome-hu | grep epiphany
/usr/share/locale-langpack/hu/LC_MESSAGES/epiphany-extensions-e_e_version_major.e_e_version_minor.mo
/usr/share/locale-langpack/hu/LC_MESSAGES/epiphany.mo
/usr/share/locale-langpack/hu/LC_MESSAGES/epiphany-extensions-2.22.mo

As you see, the ill-named mo file is still in the package, but this is only a cosmetic problem, the translations are in place, thanks!

This bug was fixed in the package epiphany-extensions - 2.24.0-0ubuntu2

---------------
epiphany-extensions (2.24.0-0ubuntu2) intrepid; urgency=low

  * Add debian/patches/01_configure_ac_gettext_domain.patch: Quick fix for
building a properly named PO template (intltool is too dumb to do enough
m4 substitutions to figure it out by itself). (LP: #242838)
