Bug Description
Installing the libjava-gnome-java package results in:
~$ dpkg -L libjava-gnome-java
/.
/usr
/usr/lib
/usr/lib/jni
/usr/lib/
/usr/share
/usr/share/java
/usr/share/
/usr/share/doc
/usr/share/
/usr/share/
/usr/share/
/usr/share/
/usr/share/
/usr/share/
This is certainly the java-gnome *library*, and is sufficient for users of the package. But what is missing is the entirety of the project's own doc/ directory, which includes the manual, examples, and JavaDoc API (would have been generated during the build). See http://
For the prior generation (v2) of the java-gnome project, we have multiple packages, including one that provides the API related content.
Rather than change the content of libjava-gnome-java, which we get from upstream, I suggest that we re-introduce an additional package for java-gnome that includes the missing developer content from the java-gnome project. That can be pushed back upstream if they'll take it.

* debian/
