Bug Description

Ubuntu server is unable to detect storage which is attached to raid controlers using the cciss driver.

This works fine with 8.04.2 server. It also is detected and seen Jaunty Desktop Live CD/installer.

I will attach screen shots.

I was unable to get to the remote console, installed the reqiured java plugins but no help. I also tried a windows computer and explorer to use activeX and that did not connect either it said something like "too many telnet sesssion". Can you post more debug information ?

So this is not an issue with the kernel, as I dropped down to a shell from the server installer and the cciss module is loaded and /proc/partitions show the partitions on the disk attached via the raid controller.

I skipped the RAID config in the installer and was able to complete install & boot to a shell prompt on that machine. I am posting screen shot of dmraid -c -s and cat /proc/partititions on installed system. Grub did not have any issues. dmraid reports no block devices found.
