For the error : yeah, python 2.6 has appeared between my sponsor request and today. The site-packages/dist-packages changes between 2.5 and 2.6 make dh_install fails because of files not found.
The solution was to change .install files to take both directories into account (as the package is built upon both python 2.5 & 2.6).

New version available in my branch :-)

Please merge the changes from 2.22.3-0ubuntu3 into your branch, so that it's consistent to reality.

doko made concurrent changes that I have already integrated in my version. Just update changelog to take that into account (removing from my changelog and added doko's one).

This bug was fixed in the package gnome-python - 2.25.90-0ubuntu1
