Quicklaunch plasma applet causes Plasma crash w/ Qt 4.5 rc1

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

When using Jaunty it is not possible to launch plasma

~$ plasma

move or rename .kde/share/config/plasma-appletsrc and .kde/share/config/plasmarc. It's likely one of the plasma applets you have enabled is broken with Qt 4.5, and needs to have a fix backported.

Using a default .kde/share/config/plasma-appletsrc and .kde/share/config/plasmarc should let you get back in. Try adding applets back on at a time until you find the culprit. Once you do, open a bug on it so we can look at getting it fixed.

Quick Launch version from KDE trunk repository works. There was only one commit since 4.2

sizeHint() can be called before init() is finished, so make sure we
actually have instantiated the layouts that are being called. Fixes a
crash on startup.

I'll get someone to review and possibly backport to 4.2.

Latest updates seem to fix the main issue for me now. Quicklaunch applet icon scaling goes pretty crazy, but everything else about plasma boots and appears to work properly.
