Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
flgrx works with Jaunty. However with Karmic Alpha-4, the flgrx just displays black, and turns off the monitor. This occurs both with the old ati-driver-
$ lspci | grep VGA
02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV730 PRO [Radeon HD 4650]
This bug is reported from Jaunty, as I cannot use apport without X, and also I cannot boot into textmode either due to Bug #203385.
The radeon driver works fine (except that it doesn't support 3D acceleration on this card).

This breakage was due to changes in dkms that were not reflected in the version of -fglrx available at the time of alpha-4. I've confirmed the presence of the bug, and verified it is solved with the new -fglrx 8.66 on an HD4850.
