Bug Description

Binary package hint: humanity-icon-theme

The icons shipped in humanity for Network, Bluetooth, Wireless are too dark to be seen clearly on the black UNR gnome-panel. They should be a brighter white to better contrast against the dark background.

This particularly applies for the connecting icon (normally 2 green spinning circles in other icon themes), which just show up as a black block of space.

humanity-icon-theme (0.2+repack-0ubuntu1) karmic; urgency=low

  * New upstream release; tarball was repacked to drop .bzr/ and to have a

The tray icons have a bad contrast on my karmic installation again, when using a darker theme. Also it is hard to see, that rhythmbox is in play mode when using a darker theme. Perhaps a normal "play" and "pause" symbol would be better than showing an iPod-like device...

Friedrich, which Gtk+ theme and icon theme are you using?

For dark themes such as Dust, I recommend the Humanity-Dark icon theme; otherwise you should use Humanity.

It doesn't look like you're using either since the the sound volume level is entirely black and white in humanity.

Friedrich Graeter: you seem to be using the old deprecated volume applet. In karmic volume is part of the notification area.
Also the bluetooth icon is now greyscale. if you are using gnome bluetooth
Rhythmbox icon is the icon provided by the app. we dont have app specific icons

I'm using 0.4.2 Humanity-Dark and I see the same as Friedrich on my Jaunty install. Volume icon is way too dark for a dark panel. I noticed on my Karmic beta install, the panel icons look similar to the ones from 0.3.1. Am I missing something or is Karmic using a different volume icon?
