Please consider granting a feature freeze exception for pulseaudio v0.9.16~test7, plus git commits up to, and including commit 7ca81. A git shortlog formatted changelog is attached to this report outlining the changes, which are mostly bug fixes, except for one new feature, which is an extension module that is not likely to be used in the vast majority of cases.

Here is the Ubuntu upload changelog that has been prepared, minus the closure for this bug:

pulseaudio (1:0.9.16~test7-14-g7ca81-0ubuntu1) UNRELEASED; urgency=low

The build log for this package can be found here: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/31262261/buildlog_ubuntu-karmic-i386.pulseaudio_1%3A0.9.16%7Etest7-14-g7ca81-0ubuntu1%7Eubuntuaudiodev1_FULLYBUILT.txt.gz

An upgrade log is attached to this bug. Note the libcanberra package upgrade is not part of the pulseaudio upgrade, and is for testing cixes external to pulseaudio itself. This package has been extensively tested in the Ubuntu-audio-dev PPA by many users.

Most of the commits are bug fixes and cleanups, the only new thing that I spotted is

core-util: add api for setting env vars and record them so that we can undo them n fork

which sounds harmless enough. What is the new feature you are proposing?

Anyway, approved. ("extension module that is not likely to be used in the vast majority of cases" sounds fine at this stage)
