Bug Description

This is on Karmic with the new usplash fade effects

During boot when usplash first appears the colors are inverted for a split second. Then the fade-in starts and it becomes normal. This started happening when the fade effects were added.

I can't reproduce this here, but I have an idea why this could happen. I'll upload an attempted fix now. Can you please test this, and yell here if it still happens? Then I'll reopen this.

Thanks!

This bug was fixed in the package usplash - 0.5.35

---------------
usplash (0.5.35) karmic; urgency=low

  * libusplash.c: Explicitly clear the palette on initialization to avoid
flicker effects on some setups. (LP: #428614)
