How can we get this change into the Debian packaging? Is it going upstream? Are the appindicators going to Debian?

I hope this is not the exact same patch that was applied before. The previous patch ended up causing startup crashes after I made some changes in Tomboy's startup sequence during the 1.1.x cycle.

The only patch I see attached to this bug is the old one that causes the crash. I can't see any Tomboy packages for Maverick on packages.ubuntu.com yet so I can't be sure what was applied.

Hiya Sandy,

You can see it here

  http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-desktop/tomboy/ubuntu/annotate/head:/debian/patches/04_app_indicator.patch

It would be good if this could be properly reviewed and integrated in Tomboy upstream. autofoo makes this very possible.

Iain,

Not sure if it is going upstream or not, the latest seems to work well but we still don't have a replacement for the concept of "pins". I think there is going to be more discussion about that, but for now we need to get it in maverick and make that call later in the cycle.
