this happend first in 20100105 after that i downloaded today's live cd (20100109) and the case is the same when i try to make custom partition. i last commented in bug#282756 which seems to be the same bug

Bug 282756 is unrelated, even though it happens to have the same user-visible symptom.

While I can see a reason this might have broken, I haven't actually been able to reproduce it myself, so I'll need a little help. Could you please add debug-ubiquity as a boot parameter (you can edit boot parameters by pressing F6 then Escape at the CD boot menu), reproduce this bug, and attach /var/log/installer/debug to this bug report again? Thanks in advance.
