Hi ubuntu-release,

I would like to update the office suite used in xubuntu to a new bugfix
release. In normal circumstances, a FFe isn't needed for bugfix only
releases for universe packages, but the issue is that until now, goffice
was not properly packaged (binary package name not reflecting library
soname, which created lots of issues on soname bumps, see
<http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=570351>).

This has been fixed in 0.8.1-1 (renamed from libgoffice-0-8{,-dev} to
libgoffice-0.8-{8,dev}), and I think this is necessary to have it in a
LTS release (it'll reduce the number of potential rc bugs anyway, have
the same packaging as in squeeze, and ease later updates).

But the binary packages will have to go through new, and all
reverse-build-deps will have to be updated (migrate the b-dep) and
rebuilt. I've already prepared this in my PPA, cf.
and everything seems to work fine [*].

Any objection? Shall I upload that?

Thanks!

[*] except gnome-chemistry-utils that already FTBFSs (without the
goffice change), likely because of a change in xulrunner that occurred
after the feature freeze (it was successfully rebuilt the day of the
freeze, and now it's failing…).

The gnome-chemistry-utils rebuild will be taken care of with Bug #550972. Debian already made the change to libgoffice-0.8-dev and there were some minor bug fixes to pick up as well.
