Still doesn't work for me. I'm installed ubuntu network edition today and I have updated it. Perhaps it is a regression, I have not tested it before...

Just to be sure, this bug is about mutter preventing shortcuts defined in gnome-keybinding-properties (Keyboard Shortcuts) that use <Super> from working, right?

I don't know who "Mutter" is, but yes, that sounds right.

It's normally quite handy to redefine the "Windows-X" keys, because normally
Linux distros have no use for them. I normally set one up for opening a
terminal, one for vim, one for settings, etc, etc, etc...

BUT, on latest Ubuntu netbook edition, I can't. As soon as I press the
"windows" key, numbers come up on the program launcher, and can't use my
keyboard settings.

are you sure this is fixed? I don't seen to be able to map mod4+anything using gnome-keybinding-properties

Sorry, I got mixed up. mutter isn't used any more so this bug can't exist.

Any clues on how to work around this? Latest stable 11.04 here, can't assign keyboard shortcuts using the Mod4 key.

I can confirm that on a fully updated Natty system I still can't use Mod4 combos for keyboard shortcuts.
