dconf-editor window expands itself horizontally to fit descriptions

This got fixed in 0.7.3.

Yeah, same in dconf-tools 0.7.5-1; the window expands itself when browsing to a key with a long default value, like /desktop/unity/launcher/favorites. Slightly different bug, I guess (this was originally about descriptions, not default values), but same idea, so I’ll just reopen this one.

I've reported Bug #775491 against dconf (although it isn't installed here), found this one, marked mine as a dup since the title suggested dconf-editor expansion and dconf-tools is installed and using dconf-editor here.

Still the case with updated Oneiric.

i see a similar issue on a 1024x600 netbook screen, but for me it expands vertically which results in a 1px sized (and unresizable !) key/value list.

Oliver, Bug #840571 reports about the 1px issue regarding the first value. Workaround here is to drag top edge of window in order to decrease the size and display the value, but then the whole window expands over two workspace on a small screen. I've made some videos in my dupe 812485 about it's miserable usability (no progress compared to gconf-editor). The fixed window size which I've forced via CCSM makes usability better on small screens but it doesn't solve first line 1px issue which only occurs on some values.
