Crashes when closing Gaim

Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

I had two instances of Gaim open for porting by old profile and contact list to the new one. I had Rhythmbox playing music in the background.
When I finished the Gaim thing, I closed one Gaim instance.
Rhythmbox (minimized to the panel) hung up and closed itself. After that, Gnome still reacted on actions (like clicking/hovering the panels) but no applications could be started.

I rebooted my PC, but I think a Reboot of X.org would have helped, too.

// edit:
I uploaded the crash report.

I have what looks like the same bug in feisty. But it occurs when I close banshee. I have the music applet loaded as well (it operates banshee through dbus so I thought it was pertanent). There doesn't seem to be much in .xsession-errors. Nothing in syslog either. Looking at the ps -ef shows all the important programs that make up gnome in the throws of gnome-segv. Not sure how to debug this.

I used to see this with gaim, but don't anymore with pidgin. Do you still experience this problem? Please update.

I can't test it because Pidgin only lets me open one instance of itself.

How about a second instance as another user?
