Bug Description

1. From the login screen with no one logged in, suspend the computer.
2. After waking up your computer, lightdm presents a password prompt. The top right corner says "Light Display Manager" but of course lightdm doesn't have a password.

The only possible solution for the user now is to reboot (or restart lightdm if he can figure that out). This screen also doesn't have a reboot choice so it's just going to be a "hold down the power button" shutdown which isn't nice.

Thank you for your bug report, I can't confirm that using the current version, could you confirm if that's still an issue for you?

Not sure it has been fixed. I've experienced the same problem (i.e. password request after suspend in ldm) this morning, after latest updates.

Perhaps this is specific to the unity-launcher but the example-gtk-greeter isn't affected.

Confirmed on current Oneiric, Michael you were working on power management tweaks I think could you have a look to this one?

Ok, Robert Ancell says this is actually indicator-session's fault for calling gnome-screensaver from the login screen.
