Bug Description

#1
System is up-to-date. Log out-in, indicator-session states 'updates available...' Click and open update-manager, which is empty, reload package list, empty, now it states 'software up-to-date'.

Immediately after logout, view indicator-session, it's displaying for ~1 sec. 'software up-to-date' and switches to 'updates available' then.

## update-notifier autolaunch intervall is set to 0 by user.

Expected.
When there're actually no updates available don't say so.

#2
When updating via apt-get in terminal, indicator-seesion still states updates available.

Expected.
After update via terminal change to 'software up-to-date'.

I never use the graphical interfaces for updating; I use the command-line 'sudo apt-get update' and 'sudo apt-get upgrade'. This never updates the indicator-session status, so for me it always reads "Updates Available...". However, if I click that, it pulls up the update manager and tells me there are no updates, and then finally updates the indicator.

Definite agree with #2.

Partially unrelated-- should the indicator turn blue, a la the messaging menu, when there are updates available?

@Taylor: The session menu turning blue would be a nice feature. Open a new bug to request it :)
