I tried patching the configure script to use evolution-plugin-3.0.pc, but then it tried compiling everything with both GTK 3 and GTK 2 in the include path, which lead to all kinds of fun conflicts.

Please find attached a debdiff to merge current mail-notification 5.4.dfsg.1-5 from Debian unstable.

This version brings back Evolution support.

The package was built in my testing PPA for amd64/i386 and I tested it on amd64 (works fine, btw).

I restored a few missing Ubuntu entries in debian/changelog, and mentioned this bug in the top changelog entry. Otherwise this looks fine and I'll upload shortly. Thanks!
