Desktop and Scrivania both present in the italian version

After rebooting the system the situation is the one described in the attached screen-hot. Now my desktop reflects the contents of the Scrivania folder. Desktop folder still exists with its old contents, but they are not shown on my Desktop.
I want also to underline that the two icons of the Scrivania folder, immediately after rebooting, where overlapped, but I think it is another problem that I'll report separately.

I have tried to reproduce , but there is no entry "Scrivania" in the home directory(by default).

Only Desktop.

You are right, in the today build there is no "Scrivania" folder, but the bug #1053352 that I think related to this one is still present.
Anyway in the italian version, I would like my "Desktop" folder be name "Scrivania" as in 12.04.

That is o.K , but should be filed in a fresh report. You know that you can also doing a translation by your own:

I close this report as fix released, because it targets a double directory.

@melchiaros the problem here is not translations but the fact that there are two desktop folders (one with localised name and one in english).

Why did you open a second bug instead of makring yourself affected on the bug 941399 and commenting further. We do not open duplicate bugs to "confirm" the issue. Or is there something different you are reporting here?

I opened a new bug because it refers to a new release and I thought I had to do so. Anyway this bug, in my opinion, is strictly connected to bug #1053352 and bug #941399, but I want to underline that I did NOT experience any problem with the installed 12.04 release, it seems to affect just the live persistent usb italianversion.

Yes, that it is. In my testrun the problem was gone(only one folder "Desktop" and no dublicate of it anymore).
I have seen #6 as confirmation of the observation.

@ sandra-farnedi-d maybe this is due to the fact that the italian language packs are not present in the life system (due to size constraings) but they are after the final system is installed (including the language packs)?

Please note we use same bug as much as possible: it's open all the way until it gets fixed (if ever) and we can open per-series targets for backports/SRU. If there are regressions, we sometimes even re-open closed bugs.

Nothing to do with casper, re-assigning to ubuntu as a whole.

I tried with the 2012-10-14 build: same problem. The problem is not related to the italian language, if I chose the french one I have the situation shown in the first attached screen-shot.
After restarting in italian I have three (Desktop, Scrivania, Bureau) folders see the 2nd attachment.
Please note that the three folders have different contents (see the 3rd screen-shot).
