Scott Kitterman (kitterman) wrote : Please test proposed package

Hello David, or anyone else affected,

Accepted into quantal-proposed. The package will build now and be available in a few hours in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please change the bug tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not, change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance!

Hi,

I've tested the 0.92a-2ubuntu0.1 package from -precise-proposed and it fails to install with the following message:

root@sup:/# apt-get install havp
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
havp : Depends: libclamav6 (>= 0.97.6+dfsg) but 0.97.3+dfsg-2.1ubuntu1 is to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

It's a little bit strange because the 0.92a-2ubuntu install correctly the program while this version don't, I'd be happy to keep testing.

You need to have both precise-propose and precise-updates enabled to test this package. It appears you're trying to install clamav from the release pocket and that is not going to work out.

Yep, I had been forgetting to enable the -updates repository thanks for pointing it out, I've retest this and it works as expected, I'm adding the verification-done tag.
