Is your problem. Did you recently remove an AMD video card from the system or something? sudo apt-get purge fglrx will fix it up.

This looks inconsistent. Do you have wrong GL libraries installed on your system?

If you haven't done it yet, can you grab an aptitude why fglrx beforehand to see what it was pulled in?

Robert Hooker (sarvatt) wrote :

Spoke to him in IRC and fglrx was there because he had pyopencl installed which pulls it in apparently. The GLX error is to be expected unfortunately in that case and wasn't what was stopping him from logging in, it broke startx which tries to use a unity session but his session was messed up because of something in his ~/.gnupg

I uploaded pyopencl to not pull in fglrx by default.
