Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Hi there,

The Ubiquity translations have been removed from Ubuntu Desktop since Dapper! I mean when people want to start installing ubuntu desktop they don't see `Persian' (فارسی) lang.
Installing persian lang. packs are available for install through `System > Administration > Language Support'.

This caused some waves on our loco forums and I wanted to know what's the reason behind it!

I had talks with carlos in #ubuntu-translators and he suggested me filing a bug here.

As I indicated by private e-mail, Persian translators need to get the translations of d-i *upstream* into good shape before this is included again.

Persian was reactivated upstream in localechooser 2.27; I've just merged this into Natty (localechooser 2.34ubuntu1) and am about to restore Ubiquity translations.
