No vibration on calls

Thank you for your bug report, what version of ubuntu-system-settings do you use? Those controls have been descoped from v1 and shouldn't be displayed in the UI of the current version...

This means that in version 1 of Ubuntu Touch, the phone will not vibrate when a call?

no, it means there is not going to be a system setting to change that. You opened a bug on system settings, I'm commenting about those, if you want to know what the phone-app is going to do, open a bug against dialer-app or email the phone list...

I say this because in my case I have missed calls, the phone does not vibrate. And I think that should be addressed or implemented.

yes, as said it's a valid concerns, but one for the phone app, not for the settings...

It is assigned to the Ubuntu Touch Settings, but there has been no solution, I think it is critical to be solved for the launch.

Is this related to Bug #1234087 or do you get sound but no vibration?

It's like, when a call or SMS does not vibrate, it is very important for the end user.

Notifications works perfectly fine, but of course the phone should be able to vibrate. There was an option to enable/disable vibration in the settings a while ago, but it is now gone. From what I understand because that the backend is not done. But it really should work, since Vibration is a really handy notification solution.

I just installed the final version of Ubuntu Touch v1 and can not find anywhere in the area to turn the vibration and again and I missed several calls.

You have been told several times that there will be no way to configure the phone to vibrate in Ubuntu 13.10.

The phone platform should support it in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, and only once support has been added can there be a setting displayed in the System Settings app.

On r303 there doesn't seem to be a way to configure the phone to vibrate...

Vibration currently does work when opening an app or typing into the keyboard. So it should be available for call-notifications as well, shouldn't it?

the support is now there in qtsensors so we should be able to hook up to it once we have a setting for it
