This is just reporting a failure from another package. I'm not completely certain, but I think this is from the upstart-app-launch hook.

For me this was url-dispatcher. I don't know why the attached log file doesn't include the last line, but here:

If I remove the directory it's re-created again with the correct permissions.

How did it get created with the wrong ones and can url-dispatcher fix them up?

I ended up here with a subtly different crash:

Error opening directory '/home/username/.cache/url-dispatcher/click-urls': Permission denied

Unsurprising permission denied, given my username isn't 'username'.

I got this error at the system start. I am using Gnome instead of Unity as it is reported in the bug description.

I got this (saw a popup) after logging into a guest session then switching to my user. I am using unity, and latest Trusty development daily (upgraded today)
