ppc64el/cdrom: ieee1275/cdrom devalias doesn't work on all machines

Hello Colin, or anyone else affected,

Accepted debian-installer into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debian-installer/20101020ubuntu318.3 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

I tested the daily 20140722.3 and it works. I managed to boot and install Ubuntu without dropping into GRUB shell.

We can close this ticket.

Urgent-need all security updates for 14.04 & 14.04.1...Im trying to use the Linux 14.04 disc I bought about 2 months ago, and I have tried to choose and install prime disc for "the same period of time till 1-2 weeks ago, on the install "I read the release notes and will install all the related bug fixes but the main bug is that I am not capable of following all of the notes telling user to install/ACTIVATE Swap using a terminal---I plainly do not know how to type cmds....HELP ME PLSE!
