It looks like a big mess to me. Can you generate a debdiff that apply to the current version in Debian?

claws-mail (2.10.0-3ubuntu1) gutsy; urgency=low

  * Merge from Debian unstable (LP: #137125). Remaining Ubuntu changes:
    - Fix compilation for lpia arch.
    - Added support for Hildon 3.
    - Modify Maintainer value to match Debian-Maintainer-Field Spec

claws-mail (2.10.0-3) unstable; urgency=low

  * debian/rules
  - remove manual files from main package (already in doc)
