Bug Description

I saw the logo come up today but it seemed a bit blurred on my T480s with a 2560x1440 screen. Maybe it needs to be rendered at a higher resolution?

Thank you for your bug report, is that an issue on gdm also? The logo has the same resolution as the previous one (which is also the one displayed on the login screen). Could you make include a screenshot/photo showhing the issue?

This is OEM priority bug

@Dimitri, could you explain that statement? I didn't see any input from OEM here and they are the ones defining their priorities... also Julian didn't reply to the question, afaik the logo we have been used for cycles has the same low resolution and is displayed on gdm

Given that I run vanilla gnome experience (and also no idea how to get back to the ubuntu design), and hence do not have an ubuntu logo on my gdm, I can't comment on that. I do think that fuzzy corners are likely much more noticeable in a white on black environment though (maximum contrast), then a white on purple or whatever the gdm screen has.

I found and changed gdm3.css back to Yaru but don't see an Ubuntu logo either. Maybe I should boot a live disc.

Note that I am proposing a smaller image file for other reasons [1]. If we go with that this bug would become a 'Won't Fix'. Alternatively we could do a bigger logo but that would require an additional gnome-shell fix [2].

Just a warning: Starting in gnome-shell 3.36.1 the login screen will display the same logo with the same dimensions. So it should be designed to fit the login screen too.
